Hello,
I'am using FW 7.12 with xHarbour Project Builder (version 11/2007).
For many months I'm trying to make zip and unzip work with xHarbour, unfortunately without any succes.
To solve my problem for the moment, I still use my zip- and unzip-function in a small program, made in FiveWin for Clipper (16 bits), which works quite well.
Since all the rest of my application is running in 32 bits now, I'd like to zip and unzip in 32 bits too, of course.
The testzip.prg in the sample file doesn't work. I keep getting errors the certain functions don't exist, although I added the xhbzip.lib library
But I'm gettig very disperate.
Please, can someone provide me a working example to zip or unzip, together with a list of the necessary libraries ?
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: Zip and unzip
If you are using xHarbour.com version then you have to ask them. I used hbzip.lib of xHarbour.org for years without problems.

I use xHarbour Builder with zip/unzip and absolutely no problem, and I have for several years. Make sure the .dll is included

Tim,
Is it possible to send me your PRG-file with the ZIP and UNZIP-function ?
If you should do so, please send them as TXT-file since PRG-files are standard not accepted by Outlook.
My e-mail : michel.driessen@ma-consult.be
Thank you very much.

Michel,

They could also be zipped, but you can configure Outlook to accept PRGs. I Outlook Express you go to Tools, Options, Security, then uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be virus." Outlook is probably similar.
