Microsoft's fix for network corruption

This is an important fix from Microsoft related to indexes corruption when working on a network and using Windows 7, Vista and Server 2008:

Thank you Antonio. I had suspicions....

Indexes needed to be rebuilt occasionally after accessing common records.

Interesting to see if it solves it.

So how do we apply the fix actually? By just simply downloading the hotfix or just editing the registry or both?
