Here you have a first prototype of the Folders with 2007 look:

As you see it uses the Tabs 2007 painting, to provide the same 2007 look.

We appreciate your comments.

Wel, problem is that Windows Vista itself uses many different designs for Folders. The ones I associate with "2007" is this:

But, again, I have no clue what the "standard" is as Microsoft itself uses different ones all over the place.

If you do a search on Google Images for "Microsoft Word 2007" you can see a lot of screenshots with some different ways that folders are displayed and used in Office 2007.

More important than the shape of the tab, is that the concept of how MS is now using folders has evolved. Notice in Patrick's screenshot and those on Google Images, that if you click on any main menu item across the top, your selection becomes a folder tab, and the displayed folder is actually a complex toolbar.

So in Office 2007, it seems that menu options have morphed into folder tabs, and folders have evolved into complex toolbars. This contrasts with our typical concept of folders as just being like distinct MDI windows but with the easy accessibility of folder tabs.

The main thing I would like to see with Folders is that when you point to one with the mouse, the tab color would be the same as with a button on the button bar, or a menu item, in the same situation.

It would also be nice to have this ability with non-buttonbar buttons.

It just makes it consistent for the end user of an application ... whenever pointing at an option, ie. buttonbar, menu, folder, button ( not on bar ), you can tell it is in focus because of the color change.
