As your vision here has lead you to venture into java script .. I truly believe rich gui web apps are the future... especially given the large infrastructure I am in.
I am moving closer and closer to deploy once and run anywhere ( holy grail ) and I think I have pushed the limit of client\server and Win32.
This last project ( as you know ) had to launch from a intranet web page .. which meant the exe had to be self contained with no other files in the deployment folder.
I used sqloledb ( ado ) to connect to a sql server and using MS Sql Server, that means I do not have to deploy a run-time or have any fat client like Oracle or db2.
I would have liked to done this in an AJAX foundation .. but there is just nothing out there other than a few java\ajax languages.. see link
http://www.bindows.net/
and the syntax is 'brutal' .. very difficult to understand. I applaud your vision and efforts here .. don't give up !! I hope it leads to a very promising venture for you .. and I think you are going to have a willing and attentive audience.

Rick,
I fully agree with you. Our idea is to reuse our FiveWin "know-how" and push it to the web
In the meantime we keep learning, as usual, but also having fun with it. Have a new look:

You have made amazing progress .. I see you can now move the controls around in the form !! I like your foundation. Be great to watch your progress as you add controls, folders, listbox..
How do you envision the code behind the controls .. xBase dialect seems like a challenge to bring to a java script ??
If you can somehow merge FW commands and methods, objects .. you will have acomplished an amazing hurdle.
