If possible (and I shown it is, https://code.google.com/p/fivedroid/) I prefer to avoid the use of QT.

Sadly imageshack lost of the images... :-(

But we will rebuild them again :-)

Lighther and faster, and full control. Like FiveWin :-)

Otto,

How about finger scrolling works in browse through RDP?
In the designs that I have through 2x, displacement is not very comfortable.
Press, hold and then move.

Fernando,
yes you are right. 2x on WINDOWS phone is not as well working than RDP clients on Android. But so fare I didn't found a better RDP client for WINDOWS PHONE.
For Android we paid a programmer to provide us with a customized RDP client:
Now it ist possible to specify screen orientation, “custom resolution" settings dialog, disable the menu icon (the orange gear icon) from being displayed when connection is active, changes in the connection initiation logic, etc.

Best regards,
Otto

Are you considering staying in South Korea ? .. If yes, please consider moving to the United States. FiveWin and Harbour need a lot of marketing here in the States. I recently wrote a nice program for a SC State Agency with these specs that can not be very easily duplicated ! Unfortunately, the dot net folks dominate this landscape and not many Cio's realize there are alternative object oriented programing languages in the marketplace.
Programing services to write and deliver a Windows accounts receivable application as specified in the attached. The application must be capable to be loaded onto the Agency's share drive and accessed by only authorized users with a user-id and password or the use of SSO ( single sign-on ) technology. The program is to run on any desktop operating system to include Windows Xp through Windows 8.1

Database: Ms Access or Sql Server, Agency's choice

The program shall be a single monolithic compiled .exe with very few if any associated dynamic libraries (.dll ) and SHALL NOT use any DOT NET run-time desktop support client.

All appropriate personal or sensitive data will be encrypted in the proper database tables
Image

Not a whole lot of programming languages can make the above claim or specification.. unfortunately FiveWin is not well known here in the USA and with the proper marketing, could become a very viable option to Dot Net.

Rick,

Here in India also the situation is same.

But we all should find a way to popularise our beloved FWH+HARBOUR.

Rick,

And how would you promote it ? :-)

Yesterday I was talking about that with a friend. How to promote Harbour and FWH for new users ?

I think that this 15 days of half price will help to get more users.
regards, saludos

Another way is build demo version of FWH and distribute CD to university, student, road show,
we can distribute our demo version through computer magazine like CHIP etc. [they are distributing CD/DVD along with magazine free]
Regards, Greetings

Try FWH. You will enjoy it's simplicity and power.!

Antonio,
I think that for promotion could be helpful the following:
  • Free Fivewin Express edition
    Fivewin book
    Visual Studio integration
    Professional Visual Report (Easyreport)

George

Marketing is all about separating yourself from your competition in a way that gets people to look at what you have to offer in comparison.

1) Name and product recognition
2) product comparison
3) Strong object oriented language
4) A true programmers coding language without the need for an IDE.

I would mention that Harbour\FiveWin gathers its roots from the xBase* language but has been transformed into a true 32\64 bit programming platform using any modern C++ compiler to create small to modestly sized stand-alone executables that needs NO run-time support and can be VERY easily deployed to run on any Windows platform from WinXP through Windows 8.1 and 10.

You can also mention that there is no need to maintain any deployment or application presentation software like Citrix saving Citrix Farm Corporate Customers thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Databases include all modern RDMS like MS Sql Server, Oracle, MySql, Ms Access and in many cases database connectivity can be achieved with out the use of a third party Ole Client simplifying the setup and distribution of your application.

Those are just a few ideas .. I am sure our friends here in the forum can easily add to that list.

Rick Lipkin

*ps .. I would only mention xBase as a reference to the language roots and separate myself as a NEW Modern programming language.

Antonio,
My opinion

I think most if not everyone users was clipper probrammers.
And how would you promote it ? :-)
Yesterday I was talking about that with a friend. How to promote Harbour and FWH for new users ?

1. I think your web site is verry poor
2. word CLIPPER need to be removed everywhere from your web site and manuals.
FIVEWIN is not CLIPPER for windows anymore
I work in company with around 2000 peoples and around 100 IT engineers, using few strong servers wiht Informix db
Everyone like my tools programs but when i ask to buy few more licenses of fivewin and they open your web site they laught to me .... CLIPPER ????? wow
FiveWin has been helping so many companies to migrate from Clipper MsDos apps to Windows
or
FiveWin for Harbour/xHarbour 32 bits
Our most popular product, is the best way to port your existing Clipper and FiveWin apps to 32 bits mode, or in case that you want to get all the Windows APIs power using Harbour and xHarbour.
They read until see word CLIPPER

FIVEWIN is strong product and it is not CLIPPER.

3. Need good visual interface
4. Need good reports
5. Good Linux version . (i have never test it but it is verry popular becouse Linux is free)
6. FiveWeb never test it but need to be verry good and stable
6. Support is the best of everything.

Sorry if i said something wrong ... but i like fivewin.

Best regards,
and sorry for my bad english.
