The price is so low for Win 8 upgrades, and the features so rich, that I don't know why we would want to spend time trying to do this.

Tim,
I would like to give my users „Metro style“ feeling but our software is installed on 2008 servers and the users operate remotely.
How do you suggest to handle this situation.
Best regards,
Otto

Silvio, Fivewin is great, and having the tools to do the windows 8 menu imitation you've posted.

Take a look at a very old example you will find in \ Samples \ TestIcon.prg.

I think with the above, and oWnd:Say(), it's possible construct this menu.

Otto,

OK ... that takes us back to earlier conversations.

Personally, if they want the Modern look, I would have them install it on their computers as the OS of choice, and then program a Live Tile to call your program.

If you just want to emulate the Start menu, you can descagar TMetro class of my blog, you can do that kind of menus very easily and if you want to add new features as they have the source code.
