Good Morning, Well that's no good!!! I have tried the SetColor( ) method for the Button Bar - it almost works but there is a sort of 'color bleeding' that occurs - I don't know why! It's not serious - I just thought it would be nice to be able to change the colors - change the appearance to somethin...

Thanks for the reply Colin. Only problem is that I do not want to use any thirdy part code or utils (I have become painfully sort of 'known' for this). I don't mean any offence to anybody by not wanting to use their stuff but I am happy with FWH from FiveTech Software and xHarbour from xHarbour and ...

Thanks Antonio for the reply. I am having a problem downloading files from the site that you point to i.e. the file is downloaded as a .html file and even if I rename it to a .zip file WinZip informs me that it is an invalid archive file. I had the same problem downloading another file that you post...

Hello, Actually - I wouldn't mind at all. I'm actually not really very good at 'thinking out of the box' so your opinions count for much. As far as the 'inline editing' is concerned there are very many extremely popular accounting packages here (one in particular has market share) and they all use t...

Good Morning All, Well - that is the problem - and something interesting for all Novell fans (although we are a dying breed). If the Novell Client Software (or Shell) has 'File Commit' (2000/XP) or 'True Commit' (95/98/ME) turned off (in Advanced Settings) DBCommit( ) and DBCommitAll( ) have no effe...

Good Morning, I don't know what you mean by "inline input." By 'inline input' I mean entering data directly into the cells of a TWBrowse (FWH ONLY) i.e. Get first cell data, validate etc., move on to next, validate etc., and so on and so forth. I did start testing with this but have not go...

I just realised something (after posting two possible solutions, then realising that I was talking you know what, and deleting the supposed solutions). The Novell Client software has a property called 'File Commit' (or 'True Commit' for the Windows 95/98 Client) and its description is as follows: 'C...

OK, well I found out what the header holds and there is no time, only the date of the last update.

Thoughts?

Regards,

Dale.

Hi, Just tried using the File Time and no go i.e. on Novell Netware the Date and Time of a file only gets updated when that file is closed by the user that made the change (I have even tried - liberally - DBCOmmits() all over the place - no go. Does anyone know of a function that will read a DBF hea...

Who is responsible for this sample?

Regards,

Dale.

(Actually - I cannot tell a lie - this message was posted to get exposure to this thread again so that I can get an answer to the compile problem)

Thanks for the advice. I will have to test it though because I am not entirely sure that a file's date and time are changed until a user actually closes the file (at least not on a Novell network anyway). In other words there would be a difference between the time that the file was last accessed, la...

OK - well maybe (you really are a man of few words)! But MDI or SDI it still does not solve my 'how to' have a dialog box with Gets, and Browses with inline input (or something). But let me think about the logic of what I am trying to do and when I get there maybe you can be of help. Regards, Dale.

Thanks, Here it is: http://www.fleetfocus.net/software/images/fwngtest.zip Have a look at it. Half of the 'Edit' menu options work so far - open them all up and then tile them and see how good it looks 8) The point is that it would be nice to have, say the 'Suppliers' open on the left for quick acce...
