I don't use IMAP for sending emails yet (because lack of time). When I searched for components some weeks ago I found this: SocketTools Library Edition and SocketTools ActiveX Edition of Catalyst Development.

I have not noticed so far, but as you said this happens randomly. Maybe this is a memory leak problem outside of TBar (in other functions, parts of FWH) and it depends what the user do with the app before you can see it at TBar.
